Shiro Games continues work on its real-time strategy game 4X Dune: Spice Wars and is now bringing the title into Early Access with its next major update. Here we tell you what you can expect from it.
The makers of Northgrad, along with publisher Funcom, have the new “Line in the Sand” update for Dune: Spice Wars released. This continues efforts to add new content to the 4X real-time strategy game since its early launch. For example, since launch, multiplayer has been added in this way, as well as a new faction, flying units, new buildings, and more.
The focus of the new patch is above all on the wishes of the community, which have now been implemented. In the future, for example, you can take a closer look at your performance because player stats are now included.
In addition, the balance and artificial intelligence of military units have been improved. Map creation and starting points have also been improved, allowing for a more balanced start to the game. A Landsraad screen has been added showing the different phases of a complex system and making it easier to track. There are also new areas, military equipment, village traits, espionage operations, advisor improvements and much more.
Dune: Spice Wars also breathes new life into the popular science fiction universe in a hilarious way. Here, too, you squabble with your favorite houseguest for the valuable spice. The title is currently still in Early Access, which will be left in favor of the full version during 2023.
