Eindhoven and Manchester United’s victories in the Europa League

PSV Eindhoven and right-back Philip Moeny celebrated their 5-1 (4-0) thrashing of FC Zurich in the third round of the Europa League on Thursday night. The first group match, in which Mweny played, was decided early – the Dutch were already leading 4-0 after 35 minutes. On the other hand, Manchester United avoided defeat to Omonia Nicosia in Group E. The English favorites turned a 0:1 deficit into a 3:2 victory.

United coach Eric Ten Hag brought Cristiano Ronaldo from the start, but the Portuguese failed to score. Marcus Rashford’s double and Anthony Martial’s goal saved Manchester United with three points. In Group H, Red Star Belgrade celebrated with a 4-1 victory over Ferencvaros Budapest. Midfielder Aleksandar Dragovic received a yellow card from Serbia and was substituted in the 72nd minute. In the parallel match, Monaco beat Trabzonspor 3-1.

The match between Malmö FF and Union Berlin with captain Christopher Tremmel was interrupted after about an hour when the score was 0-0 due to the firing of firecrackers on the field. The match can only continue after about 30 minutes. In the end, the Germans won 1-0 despite being outnumbered by 45 minutes.
