The book aims to encourage others
“I’ve considered writing a book many times over the years,” Elliot Page wrote, “but it just never felt right and, frankly, it never did.” “I can hardly sit still, let alone concentrate long enough to complete a task like this.” Now he feels comfortable in his own body. So I wrote a book about my story.
Elliot Page wants to encourage others with his book. “Writing, reading and sharing our diverse experiences is an important step in confronting those who seek to silence and harm us,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Books have helped me, even saved me, so I hope this helps someone feel less alone, and feel visible, no matter who they are or what path they’re on.”
Elliot Page announced his trans appearance in a Twitter post in December 2020. The Canadian has become known in Hollywood by his birth name Ellen Page.
In 2008, he received an Academy Award nomination for his leading role in the movie ‘Juno’. In April 2021, he spoke to Oprah Winfrey, 68, in his first interview since coming up with, among other things, breast surgery. In the summer of 2022, he proudly showed his followers his new passport photo as a man.
