“It was an amazing experience,” says Laura Kiefer. Last Friday, the 21-year-old singer performed at the finale of “Die NÖN sucht the Most Talent”. She does not make it to the podium, but that is why the jubilant Emmersdorfer is not in the mood for gloom. But on the contrary.
“I wasn’t expecting it to come this far at all. The point of being involved in the casting process was to experience it on my own, to show up on my own.” Because Kiefer has theatrical experience: as part of the group “Delayed” she played at the “Under the Bridge” festival in Emmersdorf this year. Solo performances – for example at weddings, christenings and ceremonies – are considered a “good counterpart” to swing with the band.
At the “NÖN-Talent” final, she wowed the crowd in Tulln with Elton John’s “I Guess That’s Why It’s Called Blues” – this song has become her current favorite song over the past few months. “It was great to get a lot of positive feedback in this context,” she says. So Kiefer stays on the microphone – and on the ball because the 21-year-old is active at SC Wiener Viktoria and currently plays in the Vienna Women’s State League and the Vienna Women’s Cup. “Playing football and singing both excite me in equal measure. They both make me very happy.”
