a job
According to the liquidator, the continuation of the Carinthia-based charging station manufacturer EnerCharge with a branch in East Tyrol is guaranteed. On the day of bankruptcy, BH Lienz was asked to expand into the Oberlienz area. EnerCharge puts things right.
“After a thorough examination of the documents, I can say that the continued existence of the company is guaranteed,” confirmed the official Klaus Haslingelner when asked by ORF Tirol. This means that the company can be sold “alive” as planned. The over-indebtedness amounts to 13.7 million euros – more on this in East Tyrol: 30 employees affected by the bankruptcy.
There are no formal offers yet, but there are “many interested parties,” says Haslingelner: “It is very important for me to secure the location and the jobs, and the contract should be ready to sign within six weeks at the latest.”
Until then, the “good” demand situation and the goodwill of suppliers will enable the company to continue to exist. This is also Haslinglehner’s interpretation of further developments in the EnerCharge case. On Monday, the company not only filed for bankruptcy, but also applied for approval to expand the Oberlin plant.
Planned expansion raises questions
The order was received by the Linz district administration. In East Tyrol, the company produces on the former company complex. According to the order, the eastern – and previously unused – part of the hall is also to be renovated and used for production. Accordingly, additional functions are planned.
Lienz BH says she didn’t know about the bankruptcy at the time of filing. When it became public, she contacted EnerCharge. The company is sticking to its plan, but Haslinglener puts the extent of the expansion into perspective.
They just want to use the new part of the hall as a warehouse. The renovation of these rooms is already underway. “We are committed to this plan because it is guaranteed to continue,” he added. “We have to plan for the future,” Haslingelner explains. He wants to hold talks with interested parties in the coming days; a hearing on the commercial law for the planned expansion is scheduled for July 24.
