ESA Championship Trophy and Trophy: The Majestic Eckhard Style

Enduro Senioren Austria, headquartered in Mühlen, has become a staple of Austrian Enduro sport, and Classic Enduro has become a brand. ESA President Alfred Steinweder thanked the drivers and 200 members, as well as the dedicated board of directors on the occasion of the annual general meeting and championship gala on November 12, 2022 at Gasthof Hirschenwirt Matschnigg. Activities in 2022 also included the 31st Newarker Valuation Tour organized by Bernie Walzer, participation in the 20th Classic Enduro Zschopau with collections being presented for their new museum, the second Hausruck Valuation Ride, and the FIM Enduro Vintage Cup, as the tournament. The ESA Stoppelfeldenduro Final was held on October 15.
As previously reported in member information, Steinwidder said drivers under the age of 45 can also enter the 2023 Classic Championship. On May 20-21, the Classic Enduro Mühlen Festival will take place, as well as the Vintage Trophy in Poland. (Intervention from the room: Motorcycles do exist.)
Supplementary Council, Finance Ok
The new elections, held according to the rules by ESA member and track spokesperson Roland Kocher, resulted in: President Alfred Steinwidder Vice President Jürgen Wurzer Treasurer Elisabeth Petautschnig Deputy Treasurer Walter Feil Secretary Isabella Legate Deputy Secretary Hubert Lauchard, Sports Officer Wernfried Kogler, Sports Advisory Board Bernhard Walzer, and Gerhard Panzer Advisory Board Member.
As the treasurer, Elizabeth Petchengig listed expenses and income for the past year and was able to report an illness. Christian Kaiser and Bernd Charnig checked the cash register, and the discharge was unanimous. Roland Kocher and Christopher Schipper have been selected as the following auditors. The latter, as the general manager of KTM Austria, has taken on the company, which now has more than 5,000 employees worldwide and sells more than 330,000 motorcycles annually – and was welcomed as a new active member, next year he will ride with us himself.
Honor Award from the European Space Agency to “legend” Eckhard Schipper
The award has already been decided in 2019: the ESA Honorary Trophy has well-deservedly gone to a legend: Champion Maker, longtime KTM sports base dealer and KTM Teams Supervisor and 25-time Team Leader for Austrian Six-Day Cup teams Eckhard Schipper. Sports Director Wurzer: “Chipper has often taken care of the enduro sport and its KTM riders selflessly, with passion, heart and soul!” He gave a humorous eulogy, there was a short film about Eckhard’s stages in life and of course the peculiarities of Eckhard and still there, such as his “majestic way of moving slowly” or his preference for hotels in Tuscany in need of refurbishment.
