Media reports from Poland on Monday afternoon caused a sensation in football in Germany.
Both “TVP Sport” and “Interia Sport” have unanimously reported that superstar Robert Lewandowski will leave Bayern Munich. Accordingly, the Polish has already reached an agreement with the Spanish club Barcelona – and officially notified the heads of Munich of his decision.
Recently, rumors about a change around Lewandowski circulated in the media, and the pole was regularly associated with many European heavyweights. Will Barcelona really get the nod?

According to Eurosport information, there is – so far – no agreement between the Catalan and the 33-year-old striker. Accordingly, there was no meeting with CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic on Lewandowski’s side. This coincides, among other things, with information from “Sport 1” and “Bild”, according to which the future of Lewandowski is still open.
Lewandowski’s decision has not yet been made
According to “Sport1”, Lewandowski, whose working paper with the German record champions remains valid until 2023, plans to make a decision only after pending contract talks. This should be done at the end of the season.
He goes on to say that leaving is certainly within the realm of possibility. Lewandowski’s advisor Benny Zahavi is in exchange with several top clubs, and FC Barcelona has also been mentioned as a potential buyer. Blaugrana about coach Xavi, who is said to be too costly for Erling Haaland at BVB, would be very interested in signing Lewandowski instead.
However: Bayern Munich should only agree to transfer the summer’s top performer if there is a suitable alternative. If not and Lewandowski does not extend, the trusted striker should enter his final year of contract – and walk away free in 2023.
