HA striker who previously played for the national team, he is also active with SV Horn and in Admira’s junior team: Philipp Zulechner now hangs up his boots.
Philip Zollichner’s active professional career is over. The 33-year-old striker announced his decision via Instagram. “After 15 years as a professional, it’s time to say goodbye. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved and that I’ve always taken the path of challenge and not the easy and safe path,” said Zollchner. His only appearance in the national football team was on November 19, 2013 in Vienna against the United States of America.
Waidhofen as an introduction to the coaching business
The forward played in the Bundesliga for Grödig, Wiener Austria and Sturm Graz, in Germany he gained experience with SC Freiburg, Erzgebirge Aue and Hallescher FC, in Switzerland he also had with Young Boys Bern. Zollchner’s last stop was Odds BK in Norway last fall and he has been without a club since the start of the year. He will remain in the football field. “New doors are now opening for me, including at @afwhtl (note: football training center in Waidhofen/Ybbs) with my first coaching job,” Zollchner declared.
