Coach Julian Nagelsmann was delighted with the lucky side to pick the staff. For the first time this season, the 35-year-old has had to make three changes to his starting eleven, which he has previously tried in three competitive matches. The three arrivals scored direct goals: Leroy Sane (4th), Mathis de Ligt (25) and Kingsley Coman (33) came after sometimes fatal individual errors by footballers.
Sadio Mane increased (42’/60’/penalty kick) in a one-sided match. Remarkably, the sixth goal came from Christian Gamboa’s goal (69). Substitute Serge Gnabry (77) was also allowed to celebrate with Bayern, with Marcel Sabitzer in play until the 62nd minute. Kevin Stoeger played in Bochum, who made himself hardly suitable for the Bundesliga and took his third defeat in the third match.
Frankfurt misses out on its first win in Cologne
Eintracht Frankfurt also missed its first victory on the third day of the match. The Europa League winners had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against 1. FC Köln. Daichi Kamada gave Oliver Glasner’s team the lead after just two minutes of entering as a substitute (71). Jan Tillmann (82) scored the equalizer for Cologne.
In front of 50,800 spectators, Frankfurt were lucky when Kamada scored the first goal with a free kick from a tight angle when Jonas Hector flicked the ball a bit with his header. For their part, Cologne had to shiver long after the equalizer, whether referee Martin Petersen and the video assistants would score. It was a question of whether striker Florian Dietz, who may have been a bit offside, blocked goalkeeper Kevin Trapp’s sight.
The goal was finally recognized, which means that the Frankfurt team remained without a win for the eleventh match in a row and occupies only fifteenth place in the table with two points. Cologne, where the Austrian Football Association Legion played Dejan Ljubicic until the 56th minute, and Florian Kaenz until the 88th minute, ranks eighth with five points.
