For the first time in the club’s history, it won the fall championship title
Adelwang:
In the First Division East there was a match between Union Adlwang and SV Sierning in the last autumn round. Last year they were in exactly the same situation, if they had won the last game they would have won the fall championship, but at that time Cerning turned out to be a party wrecker. So the Kirtagkickers went into this match with great motivation. Both teams were missing some key players due to injuries. The match was initially equal and saw only a few scoring opportunities. In the 22nd minute, Serninger’s best chance came when Muttenthaler shot from a relatively narrow angle, but the ball went wide of the goal. Just four minutes later, the visitors had another chance to take the lead, but that chance too was wasted. In the 32nd minute of the match, Adlwanger scored a goal, after a corner kick from Ivan Puskaric, which Tony Dramak headed into the net to make the score 1-0. Just six minutes later, there was another Hovarina goal celebration, and after a misunderstanding between Lomitzberger and goalkeeper Noel, the ball rolled into the goal to make it 2-0. With this interim result we also went to the changing rooms. After the break. After the break, the players from Kirtag were more active, with their lead behind them, they played more confidently and let the ball run its course, but the players from Sierning showed tremendous fighting spirit and hung on bravely, and also had many chances.
The initial decision came in the 74th minute: Tobias Brunmuer scored the final score with a powerful shot from a free kick.
After the final whistle, the cheering was endless, and the first Autumn Championship title in the club’s history was celebrated for a long time. In the spring, we start immediately with a home match against second-placed ASV Haidershofen/Behamberg. Excitement is guaranteed, so SPG SK/ATSV Vorwärts Steyr and Union Schiedlberg will have a say in the promotion as well.
