A devastating explosion occurs in the capital of the Russian Republic of Chechnya. It happens at the gas station. According to the authorities, several people died, including children.
At least four people, including two children, were killed in an explosion at a gas station in Russia's Caucasus region of Chechnya, according to authorities. A gas tank explosion occurred in the city of Grozny, the capital of the Russian Republic of Chechnya in the North Caucasus, according to the Ministry of Civil Defense in Moscow.
Many media outlets and users circulated videos of the explosion on social media. You can see geysers of fire exploding under high pressure, and then the entire gas station explodes and turns into a ball of fire. Heavy objects are transported to the environment by the pressure wave. The number of injured is not yet known.
The Ministry of Civil Protection published videos of firefighting operations and the severe damage to the gas station, cars and buildings. The leader of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced that he would personally manage the case. He added that all guilty will be held accountable.
In September, an explosion at a gas station in the neighboring Dagestan region killed at least 13 people and injured 23 others. A similar incident actually occurred in Dagestan in August last year. According to rescue workers, at least 30 people were killed and 80 others were injured.
