The fact that Samsung is lagging behind the competition from China when it comes to fast charging and battery technologies doesn't seem to bother South Koreans in the least. For years, 45W maximum fast charging has been offered in the flagship category, which will only cause a tired smile from fans of Xiaomi, Vivo or Opp. However, Samsung prefers to focus on what Apple has to offer in the USA, and may also suffer from the Galaxy Note 7's shock when it comes to battery, so it should come as no surprise that the relatively conservative line will apparently continue to be taken. 2025.
At least that's what's clear Recent tweet A relatively new leaker goes by the name XI@SAQUES81, whose source has already drawn attention to himself in the past few weeks with some rumors about the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to an insider, Samsung is currently testing two Galaxy S25 Ultra prototypes that are only slightly different from each other. As previously reported, Samsung has finally replaced the two old 10/12MP sensors for the rear camera, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. One of the two test devices uses a 48MP sensor for the ultra-wide-angle camera, the other uses a 50MP sensor, and both also offer 50MP for 3x zoom and a 5,000mAh battery that keeps charging at a maximum of 45W via USB-C.
The continuous configuration with 200/48/50MP sensors (the current 12MP sensor on the front appears to be still in place) now allows Samsung to record 8K videos using all four cameras on the back, which appears to be also being tested at the time. Current and with what about Xiaomi 14 Ultra (here Available on Amazon), and its Leica Quad camera is already capable of doing this. There is currently no confirmation of the leaker's claims from other sources, and it is not yet certain whether one of the supposed prototypes will find its way into mass production or not – it will take about 7 to 8 months until the Galaxy S25 launches.
