Gameloft announced today that it has acquired the Dungeons & Dragons license for an upcoming new video game. It will be a mix of multiplayer survival, RPG, and life simulation. Gameloft is currently undergoing a transformation from a mobile game manufacturer to games like Disney Dreamlight Valley, LEGO Star Wars Castaways, or Disney Speedstorm. The Dungeon Hunter series also has decades of experience in the genre.
“We are proud to partner with Wizards of the Coast to deliver a completely new experience in the world of Dungeons & Dragons®,” said Lee Capouris, Product Director at Gameloft Montreal. “We're all big fans of D&D and are already working hard on bringing our concept to life, including growing our team, and we look forward to sharing more details in the future.” “Making friends, both at the table and away from others has always been a core part of Dungeons & Dragons. As long-time fans, our goal is to bring this experience to a different genre known for its emergent gameplay and shared story that both newcomers and newcomers can enjoy.” And tablet masters,” adds Marc-Andre Deslongchamps, Creative Director at Gameloft Montreal.
