GCL SI supplies 71MW of solar modules to Brazil

Suzhou, China, March 25, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (“GCL SI” or “the Company”) (Shenzhen: 002506), a leading photovoltaic (PV) company in China, is teaming up with Atlas Renewable Energy, a global producer of renewable energy, to launch a project called Casa Blanca in Bahia, Brazil, Which is expected to have a total capacity of 250 MW once construction is completed. GCL SI will supply 71MW of solar modules for this project.

The Casa Blanca project, due to be completed by the end of this year, uses the company’s 182mm dual-sided modules. The project – a collaboration between GCL SI and Atlas Renewable Energy – is expected to generate 630 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, enough to power 100,000 local homes with clean energy.

In order to promote the strategic development of its photovoltaic business, GCL SI will continue to promote the sale of its high-efficiency products. Another focus is the development of more system applications that will allow the company to use the modules in a wide variety of situations.

In an effort to provide more stable services, GCL SI also made efforts to provide high quality products such as high volume units through intelligent manufacturing.

However, the company has a solid plan to increase its production. çGCL SI goes one step further with its model factory in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, east China. The first phase of Gigafabrik Hefei with a capacity of 5 GW has been successfully commissioned. By the end of this year, the production capacity of GCL SI is expected to reach 20 gigawatts, supporting the continuous supply of products to meet the growing global demand for the company’s highly efficient units.
