This year’s German Acting Award went to actors Liv-Lisa Fries and Gerhard Lippmann. The man from Graz receives the award as the lead actor in the film “Ismir”. There he plays a deputy lieutenant who is considered the toughest instructor in the Austrian army and falls in love with a young soldier.
Fries will receive an award for her leading role as Charlotte Ritter in the fourth season of the award-winning series “Babylon Berlin,” the Federal Acting Federation (BFFS) announced yesterday.
Gila Hase and Dimitrij Schad were honored in the “Duo” category for their appearance in the Netflix series “Kleo.” Mary Lou Selem wins an award for her supporting role in the film “Bones and Names.” Franziska Wolf took home the award for Powerful Performance in the coming-of-age film Sonne und Beton, about her upbringing in the Gropiusstadt district of Berlin.
The Lifetime Work Honorary Award goes to actress Thecla Carola Wade (“I’m Gonna Marry a Family”). The 79-year-old’s name is intertwined with German television like few others, the jury statement said.
Actress Jessine Kukroski and presenter Silke Burmeister, who are committed to the contemporary image of women in film and television through their campaign “Let’s Change the Image”, also received honorary awards.
