Wolfsburg – Saturday May 22, 2021, 7:45 pm
After the last game of the season against Mainz 05, Oliver Glasner indicated that he might leave Germany’s club Wolfsburg for the first time.
“I can confirm here today that I have a contract until 2022. The future will tell us everything else,” the senior Austrian said on Saturday.
In the next few days, there will be a conversation with Managing Director Jörg Schmmadtke and Sports Director Marcel Schaeffer. “Of course we’ll talk about a variety of things,” says Glasner. “If anything changes in my personal situation, we’ll get it delivered quickly.” “I look back at this season full of pride. I let the other one come to me.”
The 46-year-old led VfL to the Champions League this season. However, there had been speculation for weeks about the split this summer because the relationship between coach and sporting director Schmadtke appeared to be strained.
