Gigabyte was the first manufacturer to announce a Socket 1851 motherboard for the upcoming Intel Core Ultra 200 processor (“Arrow Lake”) at Computex 2024, which will be held in Taipei from June 2, 2024. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Aorus series, the Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Xtreme will AI TOP, the top model ever, makes its premiere there. The Taiwanese motherboard manufacturer has now posted a similar teaser on Instagram.
But this is no longer a real surprise, as a list of the first eight Z890 motherboards was already leaked shortly before.

On motherboards with the Z890 chipset, which the H870 and B860 will likely be positioned below, six processors are expected to find their place in the new LGA 1851 socket upon release.

Below the now-leaked Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7, and Core Ultra 5, more SKUs could be placed called Core 5 and Core 3, scaling up to 6 cores. With Arrow Lake-S, Intel is now set to ditch SMT (“simultaneous multithreading”) for the first time, as well as remove support for RAM based on the DDR4 standard.
