Great honor for Kylian Mbappe!
The Paris Saint-Germain star will be named Player of the Year at the 2021 Globe Soccer Awards. The 23-year-old Frenchman won the election against Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski, who had already lost to Mbappe’s teammate Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or.
However, the Pole is not saying goodbye to Dubai without any awards, as he was named Striker of the Year and also received the “TikTok Fans of the Year Award”.
Other winners include Gianluigi Donnarumma (“Goalkeeper of the Year”), Leonardo Bonucci (“Defender of the Year”), Roberto Mancini (“Coach of the Year”) and Cristiano Ronaldo (“Scorer of the Year”).
Held annually since 2010, the winners of the Globe Soccer Awards are chosen by an international jury made up of officials, coaches, experts and other representatives of the world of football. This year, for example, Tottenham coach Antonio Conte, Francesco Totti, Deco and German referee Felix Brych were part of the 29-person jury.
