DrHe invited “Singenden Weinhauer” to this year’s spring party in the historic inner courtyard of BG Frauengasse – with Christoph Kins as surprise musician.

The concert by Singing Weinhauer was met with great interest – the arcaded courtyard was well-packed except for a few seats. In addition to traditional wine songs, this time the program also included “Viennese waltzes – music” and folk songs from the immediate vicinity of Baden. As a guest, Singing Weinhauer managed to win over the Pfaffstadtn-based soprano Brownie Dwyer, who currently sings the role of Eurydice in “Orpheus in the Underworld” at the “Komische Oper Berlin”. In concert, she also performed a small excerpt from the opera and operetta – and got a lot of applause and shouts of bravo for her wonderful performance.

As usual, the choir was excellently accompanied by an “orchestra” – Margit Fossey on electric piano. General management was held in an emphatic and confident manner by Martin Schneider. As a surprise guest, the mayor of Pfaffstätt, ÖVP and member of the state parliament, Christoph Kenz, accompanied Weinhauer singing at the Pfaffstätt’ner Weinlied with his button accordion.

During the intermission, Gerti Ballon, Angela Stöckl-Wolkerstorfer and Cilly Rampl served refreshments – Annamühle bakery provided bread and choir member Walter Reiffenstuhl served wine to match.

By the way, on the occasion of the “Great Spa Towns of Europe” festival in Vichy, singing winegrowers will appear several times in France on July 22 and 23 as ambassadors of the city.
