Crans Montana – Saturday, February 19, 2020 2:06 pm
Francesca Gretsch is confirming her current best form with another European Cup victory on Saturday.
The 24-year-old reigns supreme on the first of two slopes at Crans-Montana (SUI). Norway’s Ene Holm Wimpstad is only two hundred after Gretsch in second, and third is Delia Durer of Switzerland (+0.2 seconds). ÖSV sprinters Nadine Fest, Lena Wechner and Emily Schopf took positions four to six.
Gretsch, who was not nominated for the Olympics, won two Super Gs at Sarenthal in South Tyrol and a giant slalom in Maribor in February. They are also a leader in the European Cup overall standings, the overall win would make the Tyrolean a permanent place to start next season’s World Cup.
