Two teams from HAK Digital Business and two teams from IT-HTL won the Youth Hackathon from more than 250 projects from all over Austria. The hackathon’s mission was to develop computer applications and games that show economic and financial opportunities and problems.
In the “Game Programming – Professionals” category, the HAK Digital Business Team’s expert jury voted with Michael Becksteiner and Leo Berenger to take second place.
In the “Game Programming – Experts” category, the school center achieved the three trophies:
First place: IT-HTL team: Rafael Freuenberger and Felix Plemawer
Second place: HAK Digital Business: Yannis Müller
Third place: IT-HTL team: David Leonhardsberger and Christoph Sommer
The award ceremony and award presentation took place on January 31 in the State Halls of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Vienna in the presence of State Secretary for Digitization Florian Turski.

The school community at Ybbs School Center is very proud of the winners and warmly congratulates the successful teams. Victory demonstrates once again how the skills students learn are put into practice.
