At the top of the HLA Master League, the top teams are getting closer and closer to each other. After the 20th match day, HC Hard, UHK Krems and Fivers Margareten are tied for the lead.
Defending champion Hard won in 29:27 at HC Linz thus ending a long streak of home success for Stahlstadt.
Pfeiffers beat Westwin away 30:29 in the derby, and Marc-Andre Honnold scored the winning goal in the last second with a converted seven-meter throw. The Margaretners took advantage of a “blackout” by Samuel Kofler, who blocked a direct shot from teammate Marko Katic after 29:29. According to the regulations, this is prohibited and he will be automatically penalized with a red card and seven meters (scene above in the video).
Meanwhile, Krems should be satisfied with a point at Bregenz – 28:28.
Each of the three teams has 31 points, but Hard still has another game to play.
BT Foxes (ninth) beat SC Ferlach 25:20 and inflicted the following defeat on the bottom team, while increasing their points tally in the relegation round.
