Twenty years after the first film in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” the stars in question look back at the cult of fantasy in retrospect. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, director Chris Columbus and other stars of the eight-part series wanted to celebrate the anniversary with the special “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Back to Hogwarts,” US broadcasting service HBO Max announced. The exhibition celebrates a retrospective with interviews, panel discussions, and scenes from filming, premiering on January 1st. There will also be actors such as Helena Bonham Carter, Imelda Staunton, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes and Gary Oldman.
The first Harry Potter film about the famous student wizard, based on the novels of British writer J.K. Rowling, celebrated its world premiere in November 2001 in London. Daniel Radcliffe, who was 12, starred in the title role, alongside Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.
