Marko Arnautović has been included in the Austrian national football team’s 24-man squad for the final European Championship qualifier on 16 November in Tallinn against Estonia and the trial match on 21 November at a sold-out Happelstadion against Germany. The Inter Milan player has been out for weeks with a muscle injury, but is expected to return in the Champions League against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday.
Philippe Moeni has also been called up, although the full-back has not played a match since September 16 due to injury. Also returning are David Alaba, Michael Gregoric, Kevin Danso and Stefan Bosch, all of whom had to cancel October matches. LASK goalkeeper Tobias Lawal and Hartberg striker Maximilian Entrup appear in the team for the first time.
To do this, team president Ralf Rangnick placed some players on the call-up list who were still in the 28-man October squad, namely Niklas Heidel, Marko Grol, Junior Adamu, Mohamed Sham, Flavius Danylyuk, Alexander Bras, Dejan. Ljubicic, who was suspended against Estonia’s Guido Burgstaller. Patrick Wimmer will be absent due to ankle problems, and Karim Onisiwu announced his resignation from the German Football Association on Friday.
