The ÖFB centre-back will also be out of the league match against Rennes and his health remains unclear. According to Krone, surgery is necessary due to scarring on his heart.
ÖFB player Kevin Danso has to take another break due to his health condition. As confirmed by his employer RC Lens, the defender will miss Saturday's away league match against Rennes, as he did the previous week. According to a report in the Kronen Zeitung (online), multiple examinations have revealed scarring on the athlete's heart. This will therefore have to be covered up and corrected with a cardiac catheterization.
Danso, who just celebrated his 26th birthday, should be able to put on his football boots again. An official statement on Danso's findings is still pending. The head of defence has recently trained with the squad. At the beginning of September, the move to Roma was cancelled due to an abnormal heart condition. Since then, several examinations have been carried out by a number of heart specialists.
In the 2023/24 season, Danso played more than 30 matches in the French league and with the Austrian national team. This season, he participated in the first two matches in the French league and in the Champions League qualifiers. After failing to change clubs, Danso was recently absent from the national team.
