BTwo people were injured when a helicopter crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida. As Miami Beach police said on Twitter on Saturday, there were three people on board the crashed helicopter. “Two people have been taken to hospital,” police wrote. They are “stable”.
Police posted a video accompanying Twitter, showing the helicopter crashing into the sea not far from the people lying on the beach. Former US Department of Transportation Inspector General Marie Schiavo told CNN that the fact that the pilot was well trained helped ensure that nothing worse could happen. Apparently, the pilot managed to steer the helicopter away from the people on the shore during the crash.
The US Federal Aviation Administration said the cause of the crash was still unclear. The incident will be investigated.
