Holcim is expanding in the US
The building materials group is acquiring OX Engineering Products, which has manufacturing facilities in the US Midwest and Southeast.
OX Engineering Products specializes in a variety of products for insulating residential and commercial buildings, Holcim announced on Tuesday. The company, with 210 employees, is expected to generate $136 million in sales this year. All employees will be taken over by Holcim.
OX Engineering Products counts America's largest construction companies among its customers. According to Holcim, the acquisition is expected to be accretive to Holcim's profitability and bring higher margins in the first year of acquisition. OX's technologies are intended to complement Holcim's existing offerings for the building envelope.
The transaction is still subject to customary regulatory conditions, but is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024.
