Lower Austrian children’s songwriter Bernhard Fibich was Austria’s contribution to this year’s Kids Euro Festival in Washington DC on October 15th, showcasing children’s culture from the European Union in the US capital for the 15th time.
“I am very happy about the invitation and I was able to perform my English-language show. I was also able to present my English-recorded CD at the festival,” says Fibich proudly.
The invitation to the ceremony came from the Austrian Cultural Forum in Washington. Two concerts were on the program with Bernhard Fibich, who could look back on thirty years of stage experience. “It was a good experience for me. However, I am looking forward to the next concerts in Vienna, on October 23 at the Niedermayer Cabaret and on the 29th at the Haus der Musik,” explains the grandfather of three, who moved to the Horn district with his family in the 1980s. .
On October 22nd at 3pm he will be a guest at the Ottenschlag Hall and will bring a new CD titled “3 New Songs”.
Bernhard Fibich was recently awarded the “Golden Medal of Honor for Services to the Province of Lower Austria” by Provincial Governor Mikl-Leitner.
