Chrome OS isn’t the most populous option, but there are a few things you can do to make your Chromebook desktop look and function the way you want.

First, let’s take a look at the basic look of your desktop:

  • Right-click anywhere on the Chromebook desktop and select set wallpaper from the menu that appears.
  • Click a Google category to view a selection of pre-selected photos, or click the My Pictures option to select a photo from your local storage.

  • Open the app drawer (by clicking the circle icon in the lower left corner of the screen and then clicking the up arrow in the partial drawer that appears). Right click and select any item in the list Install on the rack.

  • To add a website, open the website, click the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner of Chrome, then select More toolsfollowed by Create link.
