American rapper Kanye West, whose reputation was lost because of his anti-Semitic statements, once again caused a wave of anger. “I love Hitler” and “I love the Nazis,” the musician and fashion entrepreneur said yesterday in an interview with well-known far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. “I also see good things in Hitler.”
“This guy (…) invented the highways and the microphone that I used as a musician,” said the rapper, who changed his name to Ye and wears a black mask that completely covered his face for the interview. “You can’t say out loud that this person has ever done a good thing, and I don’t take it anymore.”
When Jones responded that the Nazis did “really bad things”, West replied, “But they also did good things. We need to stop demonizing the Nazis all the time. (…) I love the Nazis.”
On many fronts
The rapper, who struggles with mental health issues, has repeatedly made anti-Semitic statements in the past. German sporting goods maker Adidas ended its collaboration with the 45-year-old in October with immediate effect after West tweeted anti-Jewish threats. Other companies such as fashion brand Balenciaga have also ended their partnership with West.
West, who has been married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian for years, recently caused a stir when he dined with Nick Fuentes, a known anti-Semite and Holocaust denier, at former US President Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. food
Parler purchase cancelled
Meanwhile, it was announced that West had surprisingly decided not to buy Twitter rival Parler. Parlement Technologies, Parler’s parent company, announced yesterday that this decision was made in mid-November in the mutual interest. In October, it was said that the takeover of the social media platform by West should be completed by the end of 2022.
