Black Wings Linz and Victor Bartley ended their collaboration by mutual agreement before the start of their second winning season in the ICE Hockey League.
The 34-year-old has returned home to North America for family reasons since Monday. This makes further engagement with the people of Stallstadt impossible.
The club says Bartley would have liked to stay in Linz and has already settled down very well. However, after evaluating the possible options, the parties agreed to an early termination of the contract.
“It has been shocking news for us as the season approaches. There is nothing more important in life than family and that’s why we decided together that it was best for him to focus completely on that.” says coach Philip Lucas.
