Aluflexpack is looking to expand into the US
The packaging specialist plans to start production in December 2024. The new system will process goods from Europe.
Packaging specialist Aluflexpack is looking to expand its manufacturing capacity at a location in the US. Production is scheduled to begin in Illinois in December 2024, the company announced Tuesday.
The new manufacturing facility receives materials from European manufacturing centers for further processing on site. It aims to cater to existing customers and new customers in the US.
The expansion resulted in targeted investments, it said. Much of the production capacity will be supported by the relocation of existing assets.
Depending on demand, Aluflexpack will continue to expand its capabilities. According to the group's chairman Johannes Steerer, the expansion represents a “milestone” in the group's “internationalization strategy”.
