In the second round of European Championship qualifiers, the women of the Austrian Federation won 3-1 in Poland. After the bitter defeat at home to Germany, these are three very important points on the way to the big event in Switzerland in 2025.

The ball could be cleared, but Bortscheler's shot had already crossed the goal line at this point – 2-1 in favor of Austria.

This puts Austria in third place in the group with three points. Germany, which defeated Iceland, is in first place with six points, and Iceland is tied in second place with Austria. Poland is at the bottom of the group with no points. The top two teams in the group will head to Switzerland to participate in the 2025 European Championship, while the remaining two teams must go through the qualifiers.
