Google has announced an integration with SpotHero that will make it easier for drivers to find and reserve parking spaces. From now on you can easily book a parking space directly in the app using Google Maps and Google Search.
How does it work?
If you have the SpotHero reservation option when searching for a parking space, you'll see a “Book Online” button. Click on it and you will be redirected to SpotHero website to pay through a secure link. The entire booking process takes place directly on Google Maps or Search without switching between apps.
Users can reserve parking spaces in advance by filtering date and time. Additionally, there are electric vehicle charging and parking facilities for the disabled. After testing with limited users, the new feature is now available to everyone.
Although SpotHero covers over 300 cities in the US and Canada, not all regions support this feature. Recently, SpotHero has been integrated with popular platforms like Lyft and Apple Maps and now Google.
