The FIA announced on Tuesday evening that it would examine media reports that the Formula 1 team boss had been given confidential information by an employee of the rights holder. The background to the controversial review was a report by a specialist portal about an alleged conflict of interest between Toto Wolff and his wife Susie, who heads the Formula 1 Academy, about which other officials are said to have complained to FIA president Mohamed Bin Sulayem. Compliance system ‘strong enough’
Now Formula 1 management has announced: “We have full confidence that these allegations are false.” The global association also expressed its belief that the compliance regime is “strong enough to prevent unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.”
