More than four billion dollars: Iran seeks compensation from US

An Iranian court on Thursday ordered the US government to pay compensation to the families of slain Iranian nuclear scientists. In the past, Tehran has largely blamed the Israeli government for the killings of nuclear scientists.

State media reported on Thursday that the compensation was more than $ 4 billion. Researchers have been killed in targeted attacks in recent years.

It is unclear what the practical implications of the court ruling will be, as in previous Iranian cases against the United States. There are no US assets to be seized in Iran.
