RTwelve hours after the start of the ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, new clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli security forces on the Temple Mount (Al-Haram al-Sharif) in Jerusalem. According to Palestinian rescue workers, 15 people were treated after police used rubber bullets, among other things.

And contributed to such clashes in recent times in the escalation between Israel and the Islamic Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip. There were also slight disputes at the checkpoints in Ramallah, Bethlehem and Nablus. In the West Bank, Friday was declared a “Day of Rage”.
In the Gaza conflict, the ceasefire brokered by Egypt has been in effect since early Friday morning. Both sides held on to it for the first few hours. The Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam. But it is also sacred to the Jews because two synagogues were standing there.
