Former Bayern star Franck Ribery likely to remain in Serie A – rising Salernitana catches up with the Frenchman without a club.
Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio says former Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery will soon move to a new club. MLS climber Salernitana must now secure the services of the 38-year-old. A medical examination and contract signing are scheduled for Monday.
Di Marzio on Twitter: “Ribery left the airport in Naples via a private entrance. He will now arrive in Salerno to be checked out and sign a contract with @OfficialUSS1919.” According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Ribéry will sign a one-year contract with an annual salary of €1.5 million plus bonuses with the Serie A climber.
Recently, there were rumors about an engagement in Hellas Verona. Bayern coach Oliver Kahn quickly ended speculation about a possible return to Bayern Munich.
Florence did not extend
Ribery spent the last two seasons at Fiorentina, but Fiorentina did not extend his contract, which expired at the end of June. Since then, the France international has 81 times been looking for a club.
Now it looks like a residence in Italy. After two rounds of Serie A matches, the American side Salernitana is in 16th place without any points.
Ribery must help achieve his goals.
