More problems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia
After days of heavy rain, the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia also became tense. The border river Una, a tributary of the Sava River, burst its banks. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the entire Una-Sana canton is at risk of flooding, especially the area around Bihac. In Croatia, the area around the tourist city of Zadar has been affected.
The most critical situation is the town of Hrvatska Kostanica, which is completely flooded by the Una River, which forms the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The center of Costanica, with a population of about three thousand, is also submerged.
There are no casualties here, all affected residents were saved.
More problems are expected, because the rains will not subside and the Sava region, coming from Slovenia, still carries large amounts of water with it.
