Comet “Tsouchenshan Atlas” has caused a lot of excitement over the past nights. He has made himself visible in Austria several times. It is said to be one of the most beautiful and brightest comets in recent decades. Patience really paid off! On the night of Tuesday, October 15, the comet “Tsochinchan Atlas” was seen in the southern federal states of Carinthia and Styria – with the naked eye. There were also sightings on previous nights, including in Vienna and Lower Austria.

Pilot: “I've seen a lot, but…”

The “Tsochenchan-Atlas” accompanied an Austrian on his way through the air. On his flight from Rhodes to Vienna, the pilot witnessed a real natural spectacle. At an altitude of 11,000 metres, the comet's tail was particularly visible due to the sun's reflection. This wasn't an everyday experience for a pilot either. “I have seen a lot in my professional experience, but the Comet Tsuchenshan Atlas was something very special for me, I must say that,” he says excitedly in an interview with 5 Minutes. Since it is a long-period comet, it could be visible in the coming days.
