The company specializes in selling vouchers for experiences ranging from whisky tastings to rafting and helicopter flights.
Viennese Jollydays GmbH is insolvent. The credit protection association KSV1870 announced that the company, which specialises in selling vouchers for adventure activities and organising events, was opened on Friday at its request at the Vienna Commercial Court.
Accordingly, Jollydays' liabilities amount to €8.6 million, which are offset by assets of around €100,000. The bankruptcy affects 10 employees and around 430 creditors.
The Internet platform www.jollydays.at, through which the vouchers were sold, is operated by the sister company Jollytec GmbH. Insolvency proceedings have also been opened against Jollytec at the Commercial Court in Vienna.
Sales have been down since spring 2024.
In the spring of 2024, sales via the online platform and through retail partners will decline significantly, KSV1870 indicates the debtor's information. Talks with potential investors have suddenly failed.
“The insolvency administrator will now have to decide whether to continue the company or close it down,” said Brigitte Dostal of KSV1870, according to the announcement. “The next few weeks will show whether an investor can be found.”
Attorney Michael Ludwig Lange has been appointed as insolvency administrator; the deadline for filing claims expires on 10 October 2024. The first creditors' meeting as well as the audit and reporting meeting will be held on 24 October 2024. (APA)
