Kick-off of the “home match” in Posthof

Linz. Bringing together new generations of talent from music, dance, theatre, cabaret and literature with the public is the short formula for the traditionally first spring festival at the Posthof, the home game from January 13 to March 9.

Who will enter the ring for the first time this year and who has already arrived? On 19 evenings, a slightly frenzied cabaret selection of powerful vocal bundles of energy, plenty of surprising and new takes on female pop culture and another look beyond the local horizon awaits with support from Liveurope. “The 2024 home match is all about sexy, unconventional and sharp-tongued women. The feminine spirit permeates this festival, even in the traditionally male-dominated cabaret category. But the theatrical and singing evenings presented by women also give the festival a special feminine touch,” emphasizes the artistic director. Wilfred Steiner.

Anton Bruckner 2024: The Posthof is also celebrating

Singer, songwriter and Amadeus Award winner Inna Regin is looking for special talents from January to November. Designed as an exclusive concert series at and with Posthof, this excursion promises a lot of surprises and new things when it comes to women's popular culture. Because Ina Regin wonders whether the “next Bruckner” of 2024 could just as easily be female. Each of the eleven party evenings offers a different and exciting answer.

On March 11, Upper Austrian writer Christian Schachreiter will present his autobiographical novel Bruckner Never Dies.

On April 12 and 13, the São Paulo Dance Company and Stephen Shropshire will honor composers in Upper Austria with the premiere of “The Eight.”

In “The Sleeping Whale” by the theater duo Manuela Lenshalm and Paulus Hochatrar, a 15-year-old girl encounters the genius Anton Bruckner. Premieres October 9; More shows: October 10 and 11.

“2024 will be a special year for Posthof. In addition to the “Next Bruckner” series curated by Ina Regen, which starts on January 13th with Lylit, there is a lot of popular culture to experience in the port of Linz. “Dead South” on June 8th is a tip An absolute interior of a fresh air theatre,” reveals Artistic Director Gernot Kremser.
