British King Charles III. He went to the hospital as planned on Friday to undergo prostate treatment. His daughter-in-law, Princess Kate, is receiving treatment in the same hospital.
Buckingham Palace said on Friday morning: “The King was admitted to a clinic in London this morning to receive planned treatment.” “His Majesty would like to thank all who have sent their well wishes.” The palace said Charles was also pleased to learn that publicizing his diagnosis had had a positive impact on public health awareness.
It was announced last week that Charles would undergo treatment in hospital for an enlarged prostate. The announcement of the diagnosis was considered unusual. However, it is said that the king decided to do this in order to encourage other men to examine themselves.
Together with Kate at the clinic
Charles arrived at the London clinic, where his daughter-in-law Princess Kate is also being treated. She recently underwent abdominal surgery and remains in the hospital. Her diagnosis was kept private, but it was not said it was cancer. According to the PA news agency, Charles also visited his daughter-in-law there. The palace announced that Kate will return to her official appointments starting Easter. (age./red)
