The Austrians were convinced Wednesday with the second Lake Louise practice of the two downhill tracks scheduled for Friday and Saturday. After the best time with a goal error by Nina Ortlieb the day before, Miriam Buechner was in the lead this time, behind Italy’s Sofia Goggia (+0.46s). ÖSV duo Elisabeth Reisinger (+0.57) and Christina Agger (+0.65 .) moved up the ranks. Third and fourth. Ortlieb completed the strong red-white-red team result in seventh place (+1.02).
Only Norway’s Kajsa Vickhoff Lie (+0.81) who finished sixth made it into the top ten with a single-digit start number. Puchner of Salzburg had 14, Goggia 13, Reisinger of Upper Austria 24 and Ager of Tyrol, who had been fourth the day before, even had 40. The session, left by Styrian Ramona Siebenhofer, took place in temperatures Less than 16 degrees, but something warmer than the previous day. Styrian Tamara Tippler reached the second of four intermediate overs or not to finish. Training will resume on Thursday.
Arianne Radler from Vorarlberg is 12th (+1.37), Stephanie Venier from Tyrol is 16th (+1.58), Cornelia Hutter 18th (+1.71), Nadine Feist 21st (+1.93), Christine Scheer from Vorarlberg and Nicole Schmidhofer from Styria 27 (+2.31) and 28 (+2.39). American superstar Mikaela Shifrin skips the three races in Canada. Descent is scheduled for Friday (8:00pm CET) and Saturday (8:30pm), with Super-G for Sunday (7:00pm). A downhill double in the Matterhorn at the beginning of November was canceled due to weather, so Lake Louise hosts the speed start.
