According to the accounts payable associations AKV and KSV1870, 41 creditors and seven employees are affected by the bankruptcy of Eurowin Kunststofffenster GesmbH, which was founded in Wolfsberg in 1998. The case against the producer of PVC windows and doors headed by Managing Director Heinz Michael Jakobitsch was opened on Wednesday in the Klagenfurt Regional Court. A debt of 682 thousand euros was accumulated, although restructuring measures had already begun at the beginning of the year: employees had to leave, and the company was restructured. The liquidity problems that arose during the pandemic remained. Instead, the prices of the plastics, glass, fuel and wages sectors rose. In addition, there were bad debts and overdue settlements for large orders.
Liabilities to suppliers alone amount to €355,000. Assets amount to 433,000 euros. Over-indebtedness amounts to €249,000.
But Eurowin wants to continue. It is planned that the company will continue to operate and the restructuring plan will be completed. In the future, they want to focus more on small or special orders.
