Life is Strange: Double Exposure: Surprise! The new installment begins later this year

Many of you probably didn't have this on your bingo card: At the 2024 Xbox Game Show, Square Enix announced a new Life is Strange sequel.

The plot of Life is Strange: Double Exposure doesn't necessarily feel like light fare, it's best to let Square Enix have its say: “Max Caulfield, a photographer at the prestigious University of Caledon, discovers her best friend Safi dead in the snow. Killed to save her, Max tries to turn back time… Backwards – a power she hasn't used in years.

Phew, it's not easy food then. Of course the experiment doesn't go smoothly either, as Max starts out in a parallel timeline. At least Safi lives there, but he is not out of danger. Because as our heroine knows, the killer wants to strike again. You have to jump back and forth between timelines to prevent crime and save your friend.

You read that right, Max Caulfield is celebrating her return. You already know them from various other parts of the series. By the way, Life is Strange: Double Exposure is once again being developed by Deck Nine Games, and the studio has already gained experience with the brand with Life is Strange: True Colors.
