Autumn 1997: A bus tour group on its way from Northern Denmark to Paris. Sisters Inger and Elin are also on the overall trip. About director Nils Arden Oplev
Niels Arden Oplev participated in 13 films and eight series as director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on March 26, 1961 in Denmark. In the small village where he went to school, he met the famous children’s book author Ule Lund Kierkegaard. After five years, he moved to a school where the tone was more disciplined. He addressed these experiences in his subsequent film, “The Dream,” which tells the story of a student and his battle against his dictatorial teacher, for which he was awarded the Crystal Bear in 2006.
Since 1987, Oplev has attended the Danish Film School and directed several short films, including a documentary. Finally, Niels Arden Oplev made his film debut with “Portland”, which was shown at the 46th Berlin International Film Festival, where he was nominated for the Golden Bear, but had to admit defeat to Ang Lee’s film “Sense and Sensibility”, Niels Arden Oplev. The first part of the Millennium Trilogy was directed by Stieg Larsson, with Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist in Verblinden’s lead roles.
