Liverpool will be able to count on its top scorer, Mohamed Salah, in the coming years.
The Egyptian striker has signed a new contract with the Reds that will keep him at the club until 2025. According to “Sky Sports”, the 30-year-old will receive a weekly salary of £350,000 in the future. There are also performance-related bonuses, for example for goals. This makes Salah the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
Recently there has been speculation that the striker could leave Liverpool within a year at the latest. Then his previous contract expired. But that’s not the case: Salah sees his future with this year’s Champions League finalists for at least another three years.
“I’m feeling great and looking forward to winning all the trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone. Salah was quoted as saying when signing the contract. Talks about the extension have been going on for several months and have now concluded successfully.”
