French President Emmanuel Macron has shown determination to fight those who reject the coronavirus vaccine. In an interview published yesterday with the newspaper “Le Parisien”, the head of state said that he would harass the unvaccinated “to the bitter end” by restricting them as much as possible “to the activities of social life”.
“I really want to upset the unvaccinated,” Macron added. Therefore, his government will continue to do so “until the bitter end.”
The opposition delays the long-term rule of the second generation
A bitter dispute is currently raging in the French parliament over the introduction of the coronavirus vaccination card. Surprisingly, the French opposition delayed the project today. Many places in public life should only be available to people who have been vaccinated and fully recovered, including restaurants, shopping malls and movie theaters. Meanwhile, Macron ruled out further restrictions on vaccinated people, despite record numbers being reported every day.
In France, the 7-day infection rate is currently more than 1,600 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week. There are 3,600 well-functioning Covid-19 patients in the intensive care unit, about ten percent more than the previous week. About 80 percent of them have not been vaccinated. Last night, health officials announced a new daily rise in new infections of more than 270,000.
