Salzburg – Thursday, October 14, 2021, 11:59 pm
Mensur Suljovic made a custom start at the Darts Home Championships in Salzburg.
To the delight of the fans, the 49-year-old England international Adam Hunt finished on Thursday in Salzburgarina, 6-2 just before midnight.
In the Round of 16, surprisingly, Austria does not have to deal with defending champion Peter Wright. The former world champion does not find his match against German Florian Hempel and loses 3: 6.
Solinovic’s match with Hempel takes place on Saturday, where the “Top 19” are already being played. The winner will surely get a prize money of 20,000 pounds (23,557 euros).
The European Championship is being held for the 14th time this year, and the decision will be taken on Austrian soil for the first time. Solovic’s best performance to date was reaching the 2016 finals. In the last edition in 2020, he ended up in the round of 16.
